How To Get There

By Train:
The Citadel is about 15 minutes walk from York Station which has good connections to Edinburgh, Leeds, London and more. Buses leave regularly from the station and take about 9 minutes including numbers 1, 5, 5A.

By Bus:
Many coaches stop at York Station, and bus routes 1, 5 and 5A stop on Gillygate. Number 6 and the 2 (Park and Ryde) stop around the corner outside the Theatre Royal.

By Car:
You can park at the Rawcliffe Bar Park and Ryde (YO30 5XZ), and catch the 2 to Gillygate. Nearer car parks are the Bootham Row Car Park (Bootham Row, York YO30 7BP) Union Terrace Car Park (Clarence St, York YO31 7ES) or the Foss Bank Multi-Storey Car Park (14 Jewbury, York YO31 7PL)
